- We will arrive at your premises at the agreed appointment day and time.
- We will walk your dog(s) for the allotted time agreed in the consultation. If there is any change to this, the owner must let us know a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
- We offer feeding as part of the service and will supply fresh water upon return.
- We will administer any medication needed along with food. Please let us know if there are any medication or supplements needed and the dosage.
- If we see any cause for concern before or during a session (limping, pain) we will cease the walk immediately and inform owner asap.
- We keep walks local wherever possible.
- In the interest of your dog’s safety and comfort, we will not walk during extreme weather conditions. This includes extreme hot or cold conditions, severe thunderstorms and severe wind (gale force). We will of course do our utmost to complete a session but if your dogs (or our) safety is compromised, we may cut the walk short and make up the time in a home visit or on another session.
- If we have to cancel a walk for any serious reason, we will inform you asap.
- Any group walks are done in groups no larger than three. This helps discourage pack (hunting) behaviour and is easier to ensure safety and wellbeing of all dogs.
- We will only allow your dog off their lead (rural walks only) with your permission.
Your responsibilities:
- If there is any change to the appointment date or time, please let us know a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Outside of this timescale, we will still charge the normal rate unless in exceptional circumstances.
- If you require the feeding of your pet after their walk, please let us know their portions and (if applicable) any medication needed). Please be aware we do not supply the food or medication.
- Please let us know if your dog develops any illnesses, especially contagious ailments such as kennel cough or conjunctive eyeties. We will still walk them but they must be kept away from other dogs until the condition passes.
- Please tell us if your dog begins to display any severe character differences such as snapping or challenging other dogs/people. If this happens and your dog is walked in a group, we will change to single walks until a solution is found.
- You must tell us if your dog is socialised. We DO NOT let anti-social dogs off their leads.
